Burning Planets

how do I say
all I swore I'd never utter

as the cavern overflows
we surrender
and freefall

through universes full of shining stars
and spinning suns
and burning planets
lit through eyes of desire
spun with lightheaded laughter
and set aflame with our hot breath

I succumb
and sever the last thread
of mental resistance

allowing us to sink
into the milky way
of our minds
and stroke the flesh
of faraway realms
yet to be manipulated
into the logic of time and space.

this
is spreading the art
of animals.
